Tannon's birthday was last Wednesday. I can't believe that he is 9. When I asked him what he wanted for a special birthday dinner he said polish sausage and noodle salad. I cracked up. What 9 year old picks that for a birthday dinner? Oh yeah and birthday brownies. Now that I can see. Anyway I took 1/2 day off and got to spend the afternoon with him. We ran some errands and did some shopping. We went into Giddy-Up, one of my favorite stores, and I was looking at jewlery when Tannon whispered something. So I bent down to ask him what he said and oh my goodness. It smelled so bad. About the same time he says "it stinks and it was me". I just cracked up. Needless to say we got out of there. He thought it was pretty darn funny.
Friday Christy and I left early to head to Burns for the wrestling tournament. The boys left later that afternoon. Poor Christy and I just don't get out enough. We got to burns and shopped in the two stores they have and were board out of our mind. So we went to have a drink. Once we got done with our drink we went to the high school to help the Burns wresting team with their tournament. On Saturday we ran the computer system for them. Not too bad for our first time on our own. There were only a couple minor mistakes. We were out of there by 2:30. Tannon went 2 and out. He didn't have the best wrestling day but he had a good time. Zach on the other hand took 1st place in his weight class and won the buckle. The buckles were so neat.
GREEN BAY IS HEADED TO THE SUPERBOWL. Oh yeah. Can't wait. So excited. The only thing better would be if I were going to see it live. Someday I will.
Sunday was Tannon's family birthday party. We had spagetti and I made an army cake for him. He got some new fishing stuff and some more nerf guns. Uncle Jason helped him try out the nerf guns. It was quite the battle.
