I am just getting worse at writing on time. No more comitments for me. I can't beleive it's already June. This year is already half gone. Crazy how time flies.
Kenzie graduated 8th grade last night. She was so pretty. I am so proud of her. As a parent it is the most rewarding thing to see your childs accomplishments. She got 3 awards for her grades. She is a little nervous for hight school but I think she's ready. She is getting all set to head to Washington DC in a couple of weeks. I think she is already packed. I am a little bit nervous that she will be so far away from me. It will be a great experience for her though. She can't wait. She will e going to her Dad's for a couple weeks when she gets back from DC. After that she starts high school volleyball. She is just growing up so fast.
Tannon started guitar lessons last week. He loves it. He thinks he is going to be a rock star. Which works great for me. I told him to make lots of money for his Mommy. He is however turning into someone that I don't know. He has developed a 9 year old attitude that is getting him into trouble on a daily basis. What do you know, he is his Father's child. LOL.
JJ and I are still getting things done around our house for my Sisters wedding. We are almost done. We have a couple of camping trips lined up but other than that not much planned. I am needed some sunshine though.
Well thats it for now, maybe it will be less than a month before the next one!

Update
Wow, I have really slacked off. I am just not good at this updated on time thing. Anyway, the Joyner house is just as busy and hectic as always even though there is no sports right now.
McKenzie is still a typical teenager. Some days she is the funnest most beautiful girl and the world and the next day I think the devil truly took over her body. Her conferences went great. I am so proud of her for working so hard and pushing herself. She has big dreams and I can only hope that she full fills each one. She passed hunters safety so she is hunting for the first time this year. We went turkey hunting the other day but didn't see anything. Secretly I have to admit that it scares the crap out of me to see her with a gun. She is just growing up so fast. She did however learn a valuable lesson about a Mother's need to protect their young. After not seeing any turkeys we decided to let the kids target shoot. We had borrowed a gun from a friend to see if it would be a good fit for the kids. Kezie got right up there and pulled the gun. The Mom in me took over and told her to back up from the scope and make sure that she had the gun in her shoulder. I could see what was coming from a mile away. She on the other hand proceeded to tell me how she already knew everything and I was just making her nervous. JJ told me to just let him take over. Which at first I was a little angry but understood. She lined right up and fired and boom. That gun came back and whacked her right in the face. She had a nice big goose egg on her head. I know it's bad, but it was a proud Mom moment. I tried to get some pictures but they didn't turn out. Needless to say, lesson learned.
Tannon is always just relaxed and light hearted. However, he is becoming quite the little smart alec. He gets up the other morning and says to me "You know, when I get in high school I think that I am going to start sleeping naked". I turned around and looked at him and said "WHAT". He just started laughing and said that he just said that to see the look on my face. The little brat. He thinks he is so funny. The highlight of his days are watching River Monsters and playing army. His conference was great. He came up two reading levels this year so that was hard work paid off. It's not that he can't read, it's that it takes too much time out of his busy day. He wants to do what he wants when he wants. Don't we all.
JJ and I are great. We have been working around our house for my Sister's wedding. Well, JJ has been doing most of the outside work. I am so looking forward to getting some warmer weather and planting flowers. The wedding details are panning out and everything is on track. Between wedding, turkey hunting, bear hunting and the kids we will be busy.
Ok, so as far as me, I'll admit it, even though I don't want to, I became obsessed with the Royal Wedding. I know, I know, pathetic hu. But I just could not help it. I was not interested until the day before and I became so fascinated with it. In my best efforts to hold off, I recorded it and when I got up on Friday, I was hooked. I watched it before I left for work. Watched it on the computer, watched it again when I got home, then watched documentaries on it for the rest of the weekend. I could not help it. It was mesmerizing. She was absolutely beautiful. I have never been one of those girls who wanted the fairy tail wedding and I still don't. But there was something so romantic about it. So there you have it, I am crazy like everyone else.

Week 10 March 7-13
Congratulations CCMS wrestling team! For those of you who don't know, they took 1st place at state for the second year in a row. So proud of them. Kenzie takes stats for the team and left on Friday for Woodburn. She got home Saturday night at around midnight. The team was escorted into town by the police dept and all of the parents honking and waiving through town. Too bad it wasn't during the day but it was really cool to see. Kenzie was so excited to be a part of it.
Saturday JJ and I went to the sportsman show. We found all kinds of things that if we had money we would love to have. But, we settled for some spices from the Garlic place. Love their stuff.
Kenzie had her last volleyball game on Sunday. She played great. Her team was undefeated up to the last game. They really had to play as a team and work for it. In the end, Kenzie served the last 5 serves and they won the championship. They were all crying and got t-shirts. So proud of her for all of the things that she works so hard to accomplish.

Week 9 Feb 28 - March 6
Wow, I can't believe it's March already. Soon I will be 32. Yikes. I have to say it really does not bother me too much right now. I think this is actually one of the best times in my life. My kids are old enough to take care of themselves but they still need me, I have a job, good husband, GREAT friends and lots to be thankful for.
What happened last week. Well, lets start with our drive home form the coast on Monday. So did not want to leave. I wish we would have taken a whole week. It was so nice and relaxing to just get away and not have plans. The kids were great and we got some adult time at the casino. Ahhh, the casino. That place is just mean. I put money in....nothing comes out. So I love the wheel of fortune game and it just took all of my money. Damn you Vanna. John Wayne was good to me for a while and then he sole my money like a bank robber. I just kept pushing that button though waiting for the big John Wayne Bonus. Bonus', thats another killer. I just keep playing because I want to hit it big on the bonus. Let me tell ya, it's all worth it when you spend ten dollars to get a dollar bonus. Oh yeah. I am in the money now. Needless to say, I won't be able to persue my gambling career right now. Back to Monday, the drive home was pretty hairy. The roads were nasty. I made JJ drive. I was too scared. I know, chicken. But let's face it, I don't have the best driving record. We did make it home safe and sound.
Tuesday through Friday was really just back to the real world. Nothing great to report. Saturday I had to work a few hours. Let's just say I am glad I have Monday through Friday but it was so quiet. That part was kind of nice. Went to my Mom's for dinner and Cheyenne and Jason were there with Stratton. That little guy is so cute. He is full of fire. Sunday Kenzie had a volleyball game. She played great. Her team took third and they were disappointed but they really did a good job. So proud of her and her hard work.
So that's it, another boring Joyner week! :-)

Week 8 - February 21-27
Well nothing grand to report for last week. The kids did not have school on Monday and Tuesday and Tannon was sick on Wednesday and Thursday. Friday we left for the coast. It was so good to get out of town. When we got settled in the house we rented we went to the casino for the seefood buffet. We dropped the kids off at the house and went back to the casino for a parents night out. None of us won anything but we had a good time. We got home around 2:30. Yikes. Three of the four kids were still awake. Christy and I got up the next morning for our spa day. Let me tell you, it was wonderful. It felt so good to just be pampered and relax for a while. After the spa the boys called us and they had taken the kids clamming. So Christy and I in flip flops and sweats headed to the bay to see how they were doing. They had gotten a few of them. However, I went to sit in the car after just a couple of minutes because me newly pedicured feet were numb. We spent the rest of the day just hanging out at the house. We watched movies and just relaxed. Sunday we took the girls shopping. That evening we were having a seafood boil for dinner. OMG it was so good. Minus the nosey neighbor who was a total jerk about us cooking the boil outside. Like if it was inside it would not smell up the house. Crazy old crochity man with nothing to do. We came home on Monday. I can't seem to get my mind on working today. I am just wishing I was still at the spa.

Week 7 Feb 14-20
I can't believe that we are almost through with February. Time goes by so fast. Especially the older we get.
JJ took me to dinner at my favorite place on valentine's day. He took me to Barney Prines. I ate way too much and gave myself a tummy ache but it was so good. We only eat there a couple of times a year and it is so worth it.
Tuesday I found out my lille sister is getting married. I am really happy for her. Plus I really like Beau so that is good. She is really excited. Apparantly I am the planner. She asked if she could have it at our house this summer. Yikes. Of course, she can. So we have a lot of work to do for sure.
Friday I got a laptop. So excited. I have dealt with my old crappy computer for way too long. It took forever to do anything. Half the stuff I could not do anyway because it was so slow. Love the new laptop though. It's so fast. I have not been getting anything done at home because I have been playing with it. Hehe. Anyway I am sure the new will wear off soon but in the mean time it has been fun.
Saturday Kenzie had a volleyball game. Her team started the day off horrible. They were not working together and they were making a ton of mistakes. Toward the end of the day though they were playing great. Kenzie did a great job. She had some perfect spikes! After the game I went to Mom's and relaxed in the hot tub.
Sunday I had plans to get some things done at home but JJ came home from coyote hunting and asked if I wanted to go see a move. That NEVER happens so I took him up on the offer. We went to go see True Grit. Good movie. Then we took Nana to dinner. She is so crazy, we take her to dinner and she can have anything she wants and she orders a grilled cheese. Oh well I guess. I have decided that I just can't take this body anymore. I ordered medifast from my friend Christy. I am actully pretty excited. I can't wait to get dressed in the morning and actually look in the mirror instead of try to stay as far away from it as possible.
That's all for this week. Unfortunetly my life is not really excited. So for those of you who read this, I am sorry I can't make it more interesting. Maybe I can start making things up for you. I will work on that.

Week 6 Feb 7-13
I got a call from my good friend Mandy on Monday and went to dinner with her and her daughter. It was so nice to catch up. That little on is the cutest thing. She reminds me so much of Kenzie when she was little. She is full of vinager. So cute.
Wednesday I had jury duty. Lukily we all shared the same opinion on the case and it was over in one day. I have to say I kind of like Jury Duty. I think that just makes me a nosy person but I like it. I can't believe the things that some people do. It is kind of scary. Not to mention the court setting. I could never be a defense attorny. It would just be too hard to have to defend people you know did it.
Friday Tannon was sick. I on the other hand got a ton of stuff done at home. He was grounded so he could not watch TV so he had to stay in his room all day and read and sleep. That was enough to make him want to get better for sure.
Saturday I did my Sister's taxes. My other sister came over as well and I made dinner for all of us. Then we all went to Mom's to sit in the hot tub. I am not sure she was ready for all of us to be there but we all went anyway.
Tannon and I cleaned his room out on Sunday. Oh my, I think I may be raising a horder. It was discusting. I had 3 bags of garbage and 4 bags of stuff that he was giving away. And I have not even gone through his clothes yet. Yikes. Oh well, it's all clean now. I don't think that room had been vaccumed for months. Kenzie was sick and stayed in bed all day. Poor girl.

Week 5 Jan 31 - Feb 6
CAN YOU SAY GO GREEN BAY! So excited. Time to gloat. So proud of my team. Although I had a few moments of slight heart failure. Not to mention loosing some of my most valuable players. I knew Rogers could pull it off though. I have faith. To all you Steelers people out there.....suck it!
So what else last week? I worked out 4 days. My legs are a little tired but it felt so good. I need to just tell myself how good I feel when I just do it. Plus it helps that Greg from work is going with me. He is pretty dedicated so it makes me feel bad if I don't go with him. Guilt, it's the best motivator.
Kenzie had a volleyball game on Saturday. Her team did not play that well together but it was ok. They had some different girls on their team this time so it makes it hard to play good when you have new team members. She did however have some great serves. She had 3 awesome saves and one amazing spike. She was a little upset because she had a few moments that were not so great and go pulled out of the game a couple of times. But all in all we are so proud of her. She tires hard and even though she gets pulled out everyone once in a while she knows that if she makes the corrections she will only get better!
Got both kids report cards last week. Could not be prouder of both of them. Good grades come easy for Kenzie. She does not really have to work on them. But keeping that in mind she really makes an effort to not slack off. She got straight A's again for the 4th time in a row. Tannon has to work for his a little bit harder. He keeps improving and his reading is getting much better. He really just does not like doing anything that takes away from his play time.
Kenzie and I watched Eat Pray Love on Saturday. Not sure if I liked it or not yet but I can say that it only makes me want to go to Italy even more after seeing all those great meals! Starting to wonder if I should try to meditate and relax for a few minutes a day. I don't really think I can free my mind from thoughts that long. Hmmm? Not sure about that. Bali has never been on my wish list but totally want to stay in one of those huts over the water. Wish I was there now.

Week 4 Jan 24-30
Well this week was pretty uneventful really. Just the usual work and Mom stuff. JJ took Kenzie to her volleyball game on Saturday. I guess she did great! Her team worked good together. Kenzie stayed the night with some friends. I took Tannon to LaPine for the last tournament of the year on Saturday. He ended up third. He wrestled so hard against a kid that pinned him in the first round at the qualifier. He made it all the way to the third round! He really tried hard. He lost to the other kid too. He had a good time though. I think he is ready for the season to be over. To be completely honest so am I.
We booked a house with Jim and Christy in Lincoln City for the end of the month. So excited to get away for a few days. We are going to hang out at the house and just relax. Can't wait for that.
Hopefully this next week is more interesting!

Week 3 January 17-23
Tannon's birthday was last Wednesday. I can't believe that he is 9. When I asked him what he wanted for a special birthday dinner he said polish sausage and noodle salad. I cracked up. What 9 year old picks that for a birthday dinner? Oh yeah and birthday brownies. Now that I can see. Anyway I took 1/2 day off and got to spend the afternoon with him. We ran some errands and did some shopping. We went into Giddy-Up, one of my favorite stores, and I was looking at jewlery when Tannon whispered something. So I bent down to ask him what he said and oh my goodness. It smelled so bad. About the same time he says "it stinks and it was me". I just cracked up. Needless to say we got out of there. He thought it was pretty darn funny.
Friday Christy and I left early to head to Burns for the wrestling tournament. The boys left later that afternoon. Poor Christy and I just don't get out enough. We got to burns and shopped in the two stores they have and were board out of our mind. So we went to have a drink. Once we got done with our drink we went to the high school to help the Burns wresting team with their tournament. On Saturday we ran the computer system for them. Not too bad for our first time on our own. There were only a couple minor mistakes. We were out of there by 2:30. Tannon went 2 and out. He didn't have the best wrestling day but he had a good time. Zach on the other hand took 1st place in his weight class and won the buckle. The buckles were so neat.
GREEN BAY IS HEADED TO THE SUPERBOWL. Oh yeah. Can't wait. So excited. The only thing better would be if I were going to see it live. Someday I will.
Sunday was Tannon's family birthday party. We had spagetti and I made an army cake for him. He got some new fishing stuff and some more nerf guns. Uncle Jason helped him try out the nerf guns. It was quite the battle.

Wrestling Classics - Week 2 Jan 10-16
This week was a little slower but the weekend flew by. I took 1/2 day of vacation on Thursday and was able to go home a little early. It was good to have an afternoon to get some things done. Friday Christy, Kenzie, Brandy and myself worked at the classics. We got to be table help for Crook County once so that was really fun. It was hard to pay attention to keeping time and score when your so into the matches but it was great. Saturday we worked again. We started with the high school. It got pretty tense when we got to the finals. Those coaches get a little scary. Saturday afternoon the kids started. Zach went two and out. Poor guy just didn't wrestle like he usually does. We finished on Sunday. It was sucha long weekend. I need another day off just to catch up on sleep.
Big Week - Week 1 Jan 3-9
My goodness it was a big week. First off my secret addiction of the batchelor started on the 3rd. I know it's sad but I love that show. All the drama and the girls falling for this guy in one week just cracks me up. I already have my favorites so hopefully they will pull through. There are some crazy ladies out there for sure.
I had my first call to jury duty. I have to admit I really don't mind it. Plus I am nosey so it is pretty interesting. I didn't get picked. Maybe next time.
Kenzie got her bottom braces on Thursday. She is so excited that everything has started. She has a bite plate that makes her talk funny. She does not think it is so funny though. I on the other hand am having fun with it. Now the big decision is what colors to choose. This time, black and hot pink. I know that it was possibly green and yellow for the ducks.
My friend Traci's last day at work was on Friday. I will miss her. With her and Stacy gone now I may just go crazy! Anyway she got a wonderful offer that she could not pass up and I am really happy for her.
Tannon wrestled at the qualifier on Saturday. It was a long day. We got there about 8am and didn't get to leave until about 8pm. LONG DAY. Tannon went two and out so he did not make it. He said he was off his game. Hmmm not sure about that boy sometimes.
Kenzie had a volleyball game on Sunday in Sisters. She was so excited that she got asked to play. John took her and said that she did great. So proud of that girl. She really puts a lot of effort into what she does. She twisted wrong and hurt her back though so she is recoving from that.
Tannon and Zach had their birthday parties together on Sunday. Christy and I took 9 boys to bouncing off the walls and pizza. Those boys are a crack up. They say the funniest things. I have to say those boys like the camera too. Every time they hit the slide they wanted a picture of them flipping or falling. They had a good time.

Happy New Year
What a new year! We had some friends and family over for New Year's Eve. We ended up staying up until 4:30am. Let me just say, I am way to old for that. I don't think I am caught up on my sleep yet. New Years day we didn't really do much. We just spent time trying to recover. Went to Mom's and enjoyed the hot tub and then barley made it through a movie before crashing out. Kenzie had her first volleyball tournament on Sunday and she did awesome! Her team really worked good together and they ended up getting second. She was a little upset because she had the last hit before the other team won but she did a great job. Her serves were spot on and perfect. So proud of that girl. Big week this week so you will have to tune in next Monday!
